There are numerous other lost and found web sites. Here are a few links to the most useful ones. We have deliberately excluded any sites that require visitors to register or pay a fee. Beware of lost and found services that charge a fee.

PETFINDER
This is a national site with a classified section for lost and found reports. Unfortunately, it is not possible to post photos on this site. 

There are also extensive listings for pets available for adoption and a comprehensive listing of shelters, humane societies and rescues for the whole of the US.  




PETS 911

This is another nationally based site that is also useful if you are looking to adopt a pet. It includes links to most rescue organizations and shelters in every community organized by zip code.




MISSING PET NETWORK OHIO
Lost and Found reports for the State of Ohio, with photographs. Links to lost and found sites in all the other states.

Missing Pets.com  A national database offering free postings and a useful lost and found poster template

Dog Detective   A national database for lost and found dogs. They sponsor an alert system to notify shelters and vets BUT be aware that most shelters are too busy to follow up on information reported in this manner. YOU MUST GO TO THE SHELTERS IN PERSON TO LOOK FOR YOUR DOG.
