ABOUT DONATIONS
Pet FBI is a small all-volunteer organization. (See About
Us). Although we have NO paid employees, there are other expenses involved
in fulfilling our lost and found mission. The
officers and volunteers themselves subsidize web hosting, voice mail, printing
and copying, registration fees and various other administrative and
fundraising expenses.
So why are we soliciting donations???
In 2002, we started Pet FBI OUTREACH to aid some of our
volunteers in their personal efforts to provide spay/neuter assistance to
low-income and elderly people and people caring for colonies of stray cats. That is where funds are sorely needed. In calendar year 2004 alone, Pet FBI
OUTREACH helped people spay or neuter and vaccinate over 700 cats and dogs.
Inevitably, in helping to spay or neuter cats and dogs,
we come across animals in need of emergency veterinary care and cats and dogs in
bad situations who are good candidates for adoption. In 2004, Pet FBI OUTREACH
and Colony Cats, under the auspices of Pet FBI OUTREACH placed 80 cats and
36 dogs in good, permanent homes.
Unless designated for a particular purpose, 100% of all donations to Pet FBI are used to assist people
in need to spay or neuter cats and dogs.
PET FBI is a legally registered, non-profit,
tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible and gratefully acknowledged.
