OHIO DOG WARDENS
Each of Ohio's eighty-eight counties has a "Dog Warden". Dog Wardens are responsible for licensing all dogs in their county and for impounding free-roaming dogs. Some Dog Wardens are authorized to respond to complaints of inhumane treatment of dogs or other animals, or complaints about damage or injury caused by dogs. They may also refer you to the right person.
Dog Wardens manage the county pound and can respond to calls from the public. Despite the name, "Dog" Warden, they may also be a source of information about other types of pets.
