MickeyD's Story

I was searching your database looking for the owner of my latest
stray......yes they seem to collect me......when I came across a listing for
a cat named MacDonald or MickeyD. I did a double take. Yes, this was the same cat I reunited with his owners on January 2, 2003. This was the
original listing from 11/02. I wish I had known about PET FBI when I first found MickeyD.  He had showed up on a cold night in December.
He was extremely friendly. For two weeks he greeted me every night before I left for work and when I returned home. I wasn't sure if he liked me or my food! I felt so sorry for him that I let him inside on Christmas Eve. He
stole my heart. On December 26 something made me stop at a vet's office and look at the lost/found board. I have never done this before. Amazingly enough there was an ad for MickeyD and I knew I had found his owners! It took no time at all to track them down, they were on vacation, and I kept MickeyD for them until they arrived home. They were reunited at approx. 11:00 P.M. on January 2, 2003, about 7-8 weeks after he disappeared. He was only 4-5 miles from home. Never give up hope. There are a lot of people like me who love animals and will try their hardest to find the owners. My house seems to attract strays. I have had ducks, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, possums and cats in my yard all at the same time and they seem to respect each other! (Mind you, I live in a residential neighborhood, the neighbors think I am nuts!) My big heart has earned me the nickname "Ellie
Mae."
